Hey all,
I think it would be a possibility to focus on one event or initiative as a 'landmark' piece to identify the InterUni Hookup initiative; ie. the really cool envelope exhibition could be a means of primarily putting names to faces (those from different uni's, industry), and more widely to generate ideas and discussion about where the Hookup could lead to.

Yeah i agree with Frits on this one
We might have a event where we meet and greet students from other unis while they are learning in the same industry. We could even have an exhibition of students works or what about "speed acemedic meet and greet"? bit similar to speed dating but you just greet and meet students for at lest 10 - 15 mins and then you switch (if anyone likes it). Even a projoection of students.
>>Under one condition: do not meet and greet the person who happends study the same uni as you do, because it will no point of doing this.<<

cool. good idea. so where is this going to be held?
did anyone go to semi-permanent this year? they had this board where you stick up a drawing and take one that someone else did. kinda like a swap and go. and you leave your contact details if you want so whoever picks up your drawing can contact you.

Hody, i have't talked to my class yet, but I have told a number of people who are really keen Carla, where is lab 3000? Swinburne? does that mean we've got a potential space?? great! I think it's good that some meeting is held this week, as uni is so near finished, and it's incredibly hectic. If we can get something organised and tell people before the end of uni it will be perfect time for people to make something and attend because they'll have SO MUCH FREE TIME!! As far as lecture visits, there's really only one more week for our uni. Perhaps if we could organise our teachers we could get an informal lecture with everyone after the final week. People will still be hanging around. Definitely they'll be there at that time as there's last assignments to submit. I like the idea of swap and go, but more like swap and find the othe person and mingle... or something. Yeah, it's good! doodoo, which uni are you from? (i"m all confused at people's names. Sophia? is she about?) Welcome!

i finally have arrived! it's sophia by the way.
the speed dating thing is a bit confrontational dont you think? the reason i think most people arent involved in this concept from the start is that they dont have the cojones to get down here and join the group let alone sit down and talk to a completely new person.
envelopes ahoy!
(i didnt even realise that adobe thing at semi perm was the same concept i thought it was a competition, oj jeez.)
